Description

This is a treatment program for incarcerated individuals who use psychoactive substances or have chemical dependency.
Participants stay in a gallery apart from the rest of the prison population. 15 to 25 hours of weekly care are suggested, including psycho-educational activities and individual and group counseling.

Impact evaluations

An impact assessment showed that the program led to a 21% reduction in convictions and a 25% reduction in repeat offenses [1].
