Description

This is a coordinated community policing program aimed at reducing crime and intensifying community relations.
It consists of home visits by police officers, distribution of police newspapers across the neighborhood, increased police presence to maintain public order, and implementation of projects to reduce urban infrastructure deterioration in the neighborhood.
The program covered an area of approximately 20 residential and commercial building blocks for a period of 10 months.

Impact evaluations

An impact assessment showed an overall reduction in crime, interpersonal crime, and car theft. There was an increase in positive attitudes, considering the mutual partnership between the police and the community [1].
