Description

This is an alcohol awareness program for teenagers aged 13 to 18, based on the results of a 50-question pre-test.
Students are classified as high performers (those with a high level of knowledge about alcohol), medium performers (those with moderate knowledge), and low performers (those with no knowledge). They are then grouped into teams of eight members, with two high-performing students, four intermediate-level students, and two low-performing students.
The teams take part in tournaments consisting of games designed to assess and reinforce class lessons through short-answer questions on the topic.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program led to an increase in alcohol-related knowledge, a decrease in alcohol consumption, a better attitude toward alcohol and driving, and reported lower rates of impulsive behavior [1].
