Description

This is a community-based program for young people between the ages of 15 and 22 who have been in foster care or juvenile justice institutions. The objective is to carry out the transition process from those institutions to community monitoring, preparing adolescents for adult life.
The program uses the clinical case management, support, and counseling method, and the actions carried out entail:
1) Money management support;
2) Assurance of safe and adequate housing;
3) School or university enrollment;
4) Training for insertion in the job market;
5) Behavioral treatment for alcohol and other substance use;
6) Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy;
7) Referral to community services.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program contributed to job market inclusion and income generation, housing stability, mental health, and nonviolent intimate partner relationships [1].
