Description

This is an intervention with a psychoeducational protocol on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The aim is to reduce PTSD symptoms and allow participants to deal with the trauma.
The intervention consists of 16 psychotherapeutic treatment sessions that allow participants to understand their symptoms and learn relaxation techniques, in addition to applying imagery exposure sessions.

Impact evaluations

In a randomized control experiment, it was observed that both at the end of treatment (after 16 sessions) and at follow-up (3 months later) the intervention produced a significant improvement in PTSD levels, resumption of work activity and some comorbid conditions [1].
