Youth Violence Prevention

Comprises initiatives aimed at developing skills and abilities that reduce the exposure of children, adolescents, and youth to certain risk factors while strengthening certain protective factors so as to reduce the likelihood of those individuals’ victimization and/or participation in criminal activities.

Prevention of Violence against Women

Includes initiatives aimed at mitigating risk factors and enhancing protective factors that are relevant to reducing the incidence of gender-based violence perpetrated against women, taking into consideration the individual, relational, community, and social levels.

Urban Security

It contemplates actions and interventions aimed at making it more difficult for crimes to be committed by making criminal activity more risky and less advantageous. It advocates preventive action focused on reducing attractive opportunities and neutralizing environmental and situational factors that increase the risk of crime, violence and disorder.

Comprises programs aimed at utilizing police and administrative police power with the purpose of guaranteeing the maintenance of order and law enforcement, as well as prevention, control, deterrence, and timely response to incidents related to the incidence of crime, violence, and disorder.
