Description

This is a school program that adopts a cognitive behavioral approach to increase the ability of adolescents, from the sixth to the eighth grades, to control their emotions.
Two strategies are applied: cognitive-relaxation coping skills and social skills. Students learn relaxation and attitude change methods, as well as how to use those skills to control feelings of anger.

Impact evaluations

An impact assessment showed that the program contributed to a reduction in feelings and expression of personal-situational anger and symptoms of anxiety [1].
