Description

This is an interactive online training course for the identification, management, and prevention of sexual abuse cases in childhood. It is aimed at educators and school staff who work with elementary school children. The aim is to address the fears and factors that prevent education professionals from identifying and intervening in cases of sexual abuse.
The course’s approach consists of presenting virtual scenarios in which the signs of sexual abuse are ignored by teachers, as well as multiple choice tests. The course can be completed in one hour or in three 20-minute sessions.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program led to a statistically significant increase in the knowledge of the teachers participating in the training course regarding child sexual abuse compared to those who did not receive the training course [1].
