Description

This is a cross-sector program for the social reintegration of prison graduates. The objective is to articulate actions between prison social workers and supervisors that accompany the graduates in the community.
The social worker must conduct motivational interviews, a risk and needs assessment, and joint planning of strategies for access to community services. The supervisors monitor the reintegration of the prisoner into the community, which ensures the continuity of the planning devised during the prison monitoring period.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation study showed that the program contributed to a reduction in recidivism for the same offense, revocation of the technical violation, and reincarceration for any reason, but did not have a significant impact on reincarceration for new offenses [1].
