Description

This is an educational intervention for adults who are first-time parents. The objective is to develop parenting skills and strengthen men’s sense of collaboration and commitment in their new parenting trajectories in order to reduce maternal overload.
The intervention addresses collaborative parenting and the balance between family, work, and relationship. The program is structured in eight sessions that are applied from the second trimester of pregnancy through the first five months postpartum.

Impact evaluations

Results of an impact evaluation indicated that the intervention had positive effects on fathers’ ability to interact with their infants and on their involvement in parenting on weekdays [1].
