Description

The strategy is made operational by attaching a camera to the police officer’s uniform that records all activity that takes place during approaches. The objective is to reduce the use of police force in interactions with citizens, increasing mutual responsibility for the facts.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the strategy resulted in a significant reduction in the use of police force, but no significant difference in citizen complaints [1].
