The Chilean Society of Criminology (SoChiCrim) was born in 2019 with the aim of mobilizing networks of Chilean and foreign criminologists. Indeed, the organization has already held two international congresses in Chile (in july and december 2021), which were used to promote debates on the results of research, preferably empirical.

On July 26, 27 and 28, SoChiCrim will hold its 3rd International Congress in the city of Iquique (Chile), entitled "Perspectives, experiences and evidence from the Global South", in conjunction with the University of Tarapacá and the Arturo Prat University. The event will also include a small number of remote activities.

The call is open for panels, individual papers and academic posters in the following areas: criminological studies, criminal policy, justice studies, public security and crime prevention, organized crime, etc.
