Description

This is a reintegration program with information sessions for incarcerated individuals referred by probation officers who are 90 days away from reintegration into the community. The objective is to prevent and reduce recidivism, as well as to strengthen the link with social welfare service providers in the community.
The program offers community sessions, which provide information about sanctions for future offenses and involvement in crime, as well as stories and community services (religious programs, educational and occupational services, drug treatment) provided by community members leaving the prison system, justice advocates, law enforcement officers, and social workers.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program had no statistically significant effect on the probability of recidivism or time to recidivism [1].
