Description

This is a program that enables incarcerated individuals in the prison system to receive visits from friends and family on specific days. The aim of the intervention is to reduce recidivism and help prisoners adapt to the process of transitioning back to their community.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program produced a 40.4% drop in the likelihood of recidivism, while prisoners not served by the program were 45.1% more likely to reoffend [1].
