Description

This is a social reintegration program to assist incarcerated individuals in the transition process between the closed system and the community.
The service has a less rigid housing structure and allows inmates to work in the community with access to a salary. In addition, the program offers vocational training courses, such as vehicle repair, building maintenance, food services, electronics, printing, carpentry, gardening, hairdressing, plumbing, and cleaning.

Impact evaluations

An impact evaluation showed that the program resulted in a 30.4% decrease in recidivism among those who received the intervention compared to the control group, which did not [1].
