During an event organized by the IDB, a panel of specialists shared successful experiences in the field of evidence-based policing.

The webinar was attended by:
- Beatriz Abizanda, senior specialist of the IDB's Citizen Security and Justice team.
- Coronel Araújo Gomes, Municipal Secretary of Public Safety of the city of Florianópolis, Brazil.
- Renée J. Mitchell, president of the American Society for Evidence-Based Policing.
- Comisario Jhonny Diego Sosa, deputy director of the National Police of Uruguay.
On this occasion, the aforementioned experts presented various types of solutions found in the Evidence Bank regarding Policing strategies, as well as other promising initiatives that are already being implemented in the region with positive results. In addition, different interventions aimed at prevention, control, deterrence and timely response to incidents related to crime, violence and disorder were discussed.
