Description

This is a program to monitor adolescents with antisocial behaviors served by the juvenile justice system.
The program contains five components:
1) Service planning, which provides a family and community approach to meeting the needs of youth and their families;
2) Skills curriculum, which provides teachers with a teaching tool and promotes clear, individualized expectations for youth and their families;
3) Learning theory, which promotes individualized understanding of youth and their behavior;
4) Motivational systems, which promote therapeutic interactions, teach and reinforce skills, and implement the principles of learning theory;
5) Targeted therapeutic interactions, which provide youth with structured and reinforced education based on each individual’s service plan and learning levels.

Impact evaluations

An impact assessment showed a statistically significant reduction in convictions for any new crime, but no significant effect on new charges or arrests for any crime [1].
