This is a results-based management model created by the Minas Gerais State Office of Social Defense (SEDS, for its acronym in Portuguese), inspired by the Police for Results Project, formulated by the Military Police in partnership with the Center for Studies on Crime and Public Safety (CRISP) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
IGESP is based on the introduction of information management systems and organizational changes similar to those associated with COMPSTAT.

This is an intensive school violence prevention program for elementary school students. The aim is to reduce aggressive and violent behavior and the risk factors for the development of such behavior, and to encourage protective factors that strengthen resilience.
The program is implemented in classrooms throughout the school year, integrated into the curriculum, in order to promote mutual respect, teamwork, healthy relationships, and accountability.
The principles to be respected by the students are:
1) Listening carefully;
2) Showing affection and gratitude;

This is a residential treatment program for high-risk youth involved with the criminal system. The goal is to reduce behavioral problems, promote improved academic performance and stability in the sobriety process, and reduce recidivism and permanency in correctional institutions.
The program provides a short stay in an institution focused on high-risk youth and offers treatment and follow-up with ongoing support for families.

This is a high school transition program aimed at students in the ninth grade. The goal is to increase high school graduation rates and improve academic performance and social and emotional skills among students.
The program consists of assigning high school seniors as mentors for at-risk students. The student mentors receive daily training in leadership skills for a period of one year and must act as exemplary role models.

This is a crime prevention program for commercial establishments and is linked to a non-profit organization created by owners and merchants of the Business Development District.
The objective is to promote local and public safety improvements through services, activities, and programs that include security patrols, sidewalk maintenance, graffiti removal, promotion of local businesses, and parking lot and lighting improvements.

This is a therapeutic program for couples with problems associated with drug abuse.
The intervention develops training in communication skills, such as active listening and direct expression of feelings, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions to enable them to cope with drug exposure, identify high-risk situations, cope with relapse, and deal with thoughts of using.
Couples are encouraged to find positive behaviors and enjoyable activities to share together, and to increase relationship satisfaction.

Thisprogram is implemented in schools to prevent the use of psychoactive substances by high school students. The aim is to prevent or reduce the use of tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis.
The intervention is structured in an operational manual and is carried out over two years, with 11 intervention sessions in the first year and 3 reinforcement sessions in the second year, completing a program of 14 sessions, where activities are carried out in small groups, involving questions and answers, organizing games and encouraging new skills to stimulate students’ interest and participation.

This is a school-based intervention that adopts a social-cognitive approach for adolescents. The aim is to prevent school violence and discourage aggressive behavior.
The program consists of interventions integrated into the school curriculum to develop social skills, self-efficacy, and problem-solving strategies, and to reduce violent behavior.

This is a multisystemic psychotherapeutic approach for families with children from 6 to 17 years old who are under the supervision of child protection institutions due to a history of victimization related to abuse or neglect. The objective is to prevent the revictimization of children and avoid institutional separation of families.

School program to prevent violence in adolescent students. The objective is to promote positive family relationships and avoid association with gangs.
Two components are worked on:
1) At the beginning, students receive a letter to share with their parents, designed to facilitate parent-child interaction and strengthen family relationships.
2) The second stage takes place during the school vacation period and provides students with positive social, cognitive, and interpersonal growth activities as alternatives to involvement in delinquent activities.
