Juvenile Court

This is a court that specializes in redirecting adolescents who have committed non-violent offenses for the first time. The aim is to prevent them from going through regular criminal proceedings, in order to maintain the premise of holding them accountable for their illicit and/or delinquent behavior without incurring the losses associated with criminal prosecution.

License Plate Scanner

Vehicle License Plate Recognition (VLPR) identifies the exact vehicle license plate number based on frame sequencing (video) or still images. VLPR systems must operate in real time or with the shortest possible processing time. The VLPR structure generally comprises four processing steps: image acquisition, plate detection, segmentation, and character recognition.

Retail Tags

Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) tags are one of the security measures commonly used by retailers to prevent the theft of products and packaged goods, and can be of different types: large, plastic, attached to clothing, or small magnetic strips with barcodes attached to the products.
EAS systems generally operate with three components: the electronic tag, detector doors (usually located at store exits), and a control unit. The tags trigger an alarm if they pass through the detector doors before being removed or disabled.

Sentence Supervision

Sentence Supervision mechanisms involve surveillance and monitoring of an individual’s activities in the community, as well as reporting to an agency, and generally should require a risk assessment of offenders to identify factors that may influence their probability of engaging in criminal activity. It may apply to probation, parole, or other alternative measures.
