Modified Therapeutic Community for Social Reinsertion

This is a community monitoring program for people released from the prison system who have been diagnosed with mental disorders and/or psychoactive substance use.
It aims to promote the independence of those individuals through reinsertion into the job market, medication monitoring, recovery from substance use (Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous), monitoring in a therapeutic community (including psychoeducational group, counseling, and emotional and behavioral training), and the Criminal Justice system.

Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA)

This is a cognitive behavioral program for the treatment of substance use problems. The program addresses substance use problems by taking into account the environmental contingencies that affect and influence the patient’s behavior for 12 to 16 weeks.
The intervention consists of a user assessment procedure, an analysis of the motivations that lead to consumption, as well as the motivations that lead to refraining from consuming Following that, the treatment process is carried out through the following steps:
1) Sobriety goal;
2) Administration of medication;

Global Positioning System for High-Risk Gang Offenders

This is an electronic monitoring strategy that tracks the movement of parolees that are prone to being recruited by gangs.
It has two components:
1) GPS monitoring, which provides the exact location of the person, and the center then issues daily reports and automatic text messages, informing the probation officer about the type of infraction committed. The offender is notified directly via the device, which will beep or vibrate, requiring immediate contact with the referring officer;

AMIkids Community-Based Day Treatment Services

This is a community-based program that provides psychosocial assistance to socially vulnerable adolescents between 14 and 17 years of age and/or those who have committed nonviolent offenses.
The objective is to reduce recidivism based on eight integrated components:
1) Education;
2) Challenging experiences;
3) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy;
4) Strengths-based case management;
5) Behavior modification;
6) Family re-engagement;
7) Problem-solving; and
8) Social skills development and access to community services.

Youth Connections Program (Clarke County)

This is an integrated and coordinated program to provide care to mentally disturbed adolescents on probation and their families. The service is implemented by juvenile courts in partnership with community and health agencies.
Participants are monitored weekly, and activities include crisis stabilization, family support, interagency meetings, and access to income transfer welfare benefits. Three months prior to the end of treatment, participants begin transitioning from monitoring to community services.

Project Exile

This is a police strategy to prevent suspected and potential offenders from carrying and using firearms, with the objective of reducing homicides.
The project provides for both the identification and prosecution of those individuals in federal courts. In addition, zero-tolerance public campaigns regarding firearm crime are developed to increase community participation.
