Police Strategy Combining Community Policing and Problem-Oriented Policing
This is a community policing and problem-oriented policing program that aims to reduce crime, disorder and drug abuse, and increase the quality of life in the neighborhood.
Officers met with the local community in a public park to gather information about the main problems in the neighborhood. The focus of the policing was alcohol and drug abuse by young people, and the strategy used included proactive patrols and interventions focused on the offender, such as inhibiting the consumption of alcohol and other drugs in parks and public squares.
