Safe Environment for All Children

This is an early childhood care program. The aim is to promote attention to psychosocial factors and prevent child abuse in families that are at risk.
The program seeks to strengthen families and enable the development, health, and safety of children by monitoring participants using trained professionals, who address problems such as parental depression, psychoactive substance use, exposure to chronic stress, domestic violence, abuse, and social and economic vulnerability with an impact on housing, hygiene, and nutrition.

Community Reinforcement + Vouchers Approach (CRA + Vouchers)

This is a treatment and rehabilitation program for adults diagnosed as cocaine dependent.
The program consists of two components:
1) Community empowerment approach, with an intensive psychotherapeutic intervention for behavioral change and occupational, social, and emotional skills training; and
2) Voucher approach, through a contingency management intervention in which participants receive material rewards for remaining in treatment and maintaining abstinence (verified by toxicology testing).

Intensive Outpatient Program Matrix Model

This is an intensive treatment for psychoactive substance use in adults. The aim is to promote treatment for chemical dependency and stability in the abstinence process.
The program consists of relapse prevention groups, education, community support, individual counseling, and drug testing.
Patients are accompanied by a therapist using a cognitive behavioral approach and motivational interviewing, with referral to specialized services and monitoring by recurrent testing. The intervention is implemented three times a week and lasts 16 weeks.

Reducing Failure to Appear in Court: A Procedural Justice Approach (Nebraska)

This is a program designed to reduce the rates of non-appearance in court of those accused of minor offenses. The aim is to inform users of court appearance dates by mailing them letters.
The warning/reminder message issued in the letter includes passages about the neutrality and consistency of court rulings, as well as the fair treatment of all defendants and an opportunity for defendants to explain their situation from their own perspective.

Children’s Advocacy Center Model

This is a program with a multidisciplinary approach that provides care to children and adolescent victims of sexual abuse, and promotes collaboration and communication among professionals working in the investigation and referral of cases. The goal is to detect and treat cases of sexual violence, improving forensic interviewing techniques and mental health interventions, and optimizing the care process with coordinated, objective, and less repetitive strategies.
It includes nine components:
1) Child-receiving institution;
2) Multidisciplinary team;

Circles of Peace: Domestic Violence Batterer Program (Arizona)

This is a restorative justice program for domestic violence offenders. Restorative Justice Circles seek to provide reparations to the victim, the family, and the community.
The offender attends all the Circle of Peace sessions, accompanied by a facilitator trained in restorative justice (“guardian”). Tthere are often other participants in addition to the offender and the “guardian”, including a volunteer member of the community, the person providing support to the offender, and family members who have agreed to participate voluntarily.

Parenting Together Project (PTP)

This is an educational intervention for adults who are first-time parents. The objective is to develop parenting skills and strengthen men’s sense of collaboration and commitment in their new parenting trajectories in order to reduce maternal overload.
The intervention addresses collaborative parenting and the balance between family, work, and relationship. The program is structured in eight sessions that are applied from the second trimester of pregnancy through the first five months postpartum.

Progressive Sanction Grid (Ohio)

This is a set of community-based progressive sanction guidelines that take into account the quantity and seriousness of the infractions committed. In addition, a risk stratification is performed based on the individuals’ history, risk level, and number of previous supervision infractions.
The sanction grid was designed to monitor former prisoners who repeatedly violate their parole supervision conditions.
Parolees are monitored by parole officers, who are responsible for helping with the transition between the prison system and the community.

Regional Treatment Centre High Intensity Sex Offender Treatment Program (Canada)

This is a psychotherapeutic treatment for sex offenders who have just been released from prison. The aim is to reduce recidivism and provide treatment for mental disorders.
The intervention is structured in two components: self-regulation and the development of social skills, lasting three to four months.
The program offers group and 1:1 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focused on relapse prevention and consists of:
1) Sex education;
2) Training in social and emotional skills, such as assertiveness and self-control; and
